Day 1 : SIEM REAP ARRIVAL (-/-/-)

  • Meet you tour guide upon arrival in Siem Reap International Airport transfer direct to Angkor Temple complex or hotel.
  • Set out this afternoon to visit the beautiful Tonle Sap, the second largest freshwater lake in the world. This ecologically marvelous lake is the lifeblood of the country and the primary source of fish and protein for most of the Cambodian population. At wet season peak the connecting Mekong River gushes into the lake, reversing its current, and increasing the surface area four-fold to more than 10,000 square kilometers. On your short boat tour you will see a floating fishing village which moves as water levels rise and recede during the year. Pass floating houses, floating schools, and even a floating hospital.
  • On the way return back to town we visit Les Artisans d'Angkor - Chantiers Ecoles, where you could learn traditional carving and finishing techniques. It is famous for its traditional craft skills products are available such stone caving, wood carving, lacquering, gilding and silk processing.

Day 2 : SIEM REAP (B/-/-)

  • This morning make a journey to the south gate of Angkor Thom city, in the eleventh century Angkor Thom was populated by more than one million people, yet at the same time it is estimated that London had a population of only 35,000 people. We marvel at the eerie stone heads and evocative bas-reliefs of the Bayon temple, the central structure of Angkor Thom. We move on to the Terrace of Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Then continue to visit the jungle-enveloped temple Ta Prohm, one of the most atmospheric of all temples in Angkor, once home to 2,740 monks, Ta Prohm today looks much as it did in the early 1850s, when French explorer Henri Mouhot ‘rediscovered’ this crumbling site.
  • Afternoon continue to visit Angkor Wat. The temples of Angkor represent six hundred years (802-1432) of Khmer civilization - one of Asia’s greatest Kingdoms and Angkor Wat is one of its crowning glories. Soak up the atmosphere of Angkor from the edge of one of the ancient library pools. We then explore the interior of the great temple, spending a thorough discovering the corridors, central chambers and upper terraces of this truly great temple. Your expert local guide will decipher the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings, and give you an insight into life during the height of the Khmer empire.

Day 3 : SIEM REAP (B/-/-)

  • Visit Banteay Srei, constructed at the late 10th century by a Brahmin counselor under a powerking Rajendarvarman. It was loosely translated to citadel of the woman, but it is a modern appellation that probably refers to the delicate beauty of the carvings. En-route stop at Pre Rub (turn the body), was constructed in late 10th century dedicated to Hindu gods. This reflects the common belief among Cambodians that funerals were conducted at the temple.
  • Visit Preah Khan temple, built by King Jayavarman VII dedicated to his father. It is a huge, highly exportable monastic complex, and served as a Buddhist monastery and school, engaging over 1000 monks. Continue to Neak Pean, a small island temple located in the middle of the last Baray, constructed by a Khmer king in the Angkor area.

Day 4 : SIEM REAP – KAMPONG THOM – KRATIE (B/-/-)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • This morning set out on the picturesque drive to Kratie, following Route 6. You will be passing A small number of 1000-year-old stone bridges still exist off today’s sealed road, Kampong Thom, the major provincial town while some of the town was destroyed during the war years, Kampong Thom is still home to some good examples of colonial architecture, then visit Sambor Prei Kuk. It is a former capital and was previously named Ey San Borak, built during reign of King Isanavarman I in the 7th century.
  • Continuation your journey with travelling around 5 hour you will arrive the Kratie City, and then check in to your hotel.

Day 5 : KRATIE-RATANAKIRI (B/-/-)

  • Breakfast at local restaurant
  • Set out this morning to Prek Kampi. It is about 15km north of the Kratie province town for a lovely view of the Mekong River and scores of Small Island and thousands of green aquatic plants. This natural site is the home of Irrawaddy dolphin.
  • Then depart to Ratanakiri and on our first expedition, we travel north, in the direction of Laos you will pull out the city around afternoon check in hotel.

Day 6 : RATANAKIRI (B/-/-)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Then starting today visit the volcanic rocks of Vealrum Plang, a lava field in a forest with a small waterfall and “tiger cave” nearby. Then continue to the village of Taveng, crossing through various types of landscapes: primary forest, clear forest, bamboo forest and “African Bush”. We stop at a few Kroeung villages along the way. The Kroeung have a custom of erecting bachelor houses standing on long bamboo poles.

Day 7 : RATANAKIRI (B/-/-)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Visit Banlung market and then drives approximately 3 kilometers from Banlung to visit Yeak Laom Lake, a basin in the middle of an extinct inland volcano surrounded by lush forest growth, it is beautiful and perfectly-round stretch of water.
  • Today free at leisure to explore some of the small waterfalls and hill-tribe villages by watching the tribal customs.

Day 8 : RATANAKIRI – PHNOM PENH (B/-/-)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Departure to Phnom Penh. En-route you will stop at local village for Photograph of the people’s local daily life. Make a brief stop at some of the rubber plantations in the region established by French tire maker Michelin.
  • Continue to visit Wat Nokhor Bachey, with its ancient temple and modern style pagoda 12th century, a short tour of Kompong Cham includes of colonial architecture. En-route stop at Skun village for Photograph of the deep fried of Spider. You will pull out the Phnom Penh in late afternoon.

Day 9 : PHNOM PENH (B/-/-)

  • Breakfast at local restaurant
  • Visit National Museum, over 5000 objects are on display including Angkorian era status, lingas and other artifacts. Then visit Royal Palace is a royal residence now where His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal families live. it is like a small town of royal dynasties. Continue to Silver Pagoda, serves less as a functioning temple than a repository for cultural treasures such as 90 kg golden Buddha encrusted with 2086 diamonds. Finally visit Wat Phnom Temple is one of the most important pagodas in Phnom Penh. Built in 1373 on an artificial hill by the wealthy widow Daun Chi Penh. Then visit Russian Market (Toul Tumpong Market), the Market has gained reputation for cheap clothing, a large selection of Buddha images and woodcarvings, betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewelry, and classic music instrument.
  • Visit Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21 prison). This former school was used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces. More than 17,000 people held at S-21 were taken to the extermination camp at Choeng Ek to be executed. Then drive to “Killing Fields” of Choeng Ek (15 km south of Phnom Penh). Between 1975 and 1978 about 17,000 men, women, children and infants (including nine westerners) were detained and tortured at the S-21 prison and transported to extermination camp of Choeng Ek.

Day 10 : PHNOM PENH - KEP (B/-/-)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Departure to Kep, en-route stops to visit Kampot City, the quiet lanes, classic French colonial city, Cambodia and Chinese architecture. Set with picture perfection near the base of the Elephant Mountains on the Kampong Bay River, the province capital of Kamport City is of quite a different character than much more heavily touristed beach town.
  • Then continue to visit Kep city or ‘Kep-sur-Mur’, from 1908 was a French seaside retreat. During the 1980’s Kep was the scene of ferocious fighting between the Khmer Rouge and government forces, and many of the villas were gutted and razed to the ground. The shells of many buildings still stand however, and are an eerie and unusual sight in this far southern reach of Indochina.

Day 11 : KEP – RABBIT ISLAND (B/-/-)

  • Set out this morning take a boat to Rabbit Island (Koh Tunsay) is a natural resort located 4.5km southeast of Kep City. Koh Tunsay, with its two white sand beaches and shallow water provides an excellent location for swimming. In the sea you will find many different kinds of fish, plants and corals, making this a most interesting location for ecological research and scuba diving. The island covers two-square kilometers of land area and has many unique and attractive features that include tourist infrastructure built during the reign of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk.
  • Enjoy for free at your leisure to soak up the sun and sand at beautiful Rabbit Island white beaches. Then return back to Kep

Day 12 : KEP – PHNOM CHNGOUK (B/-/-)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Today starting a tour visit Phnom Chngouk Temple, located about 8 km east of Kampot. There is brick temple within the cave that dates back to the Funan period. It has over the course of millions of year, grown into an almost prefect linga.
  • Continue your experience with harbor some beautiful rural countryside bucolic scenery, rice paddies and water buffalos with white egrets riding their backs, countryside pagodas and little villages filled with traditional stilted houses. The Return to Kep
  • Overnight and accommodation in Kep.

 

 

Day 13 : SIEM REAP DEPARTURE (B/-/-)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • You will have free time to relax at resort.
  • Drive back to Phnom Penh or transfer to Phnom Penh Airport for your onward flight.
