Day 1 : SIEM REAP ARRIVAL(-/-/-)

  • Upon arrival in Siem Reap International Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Set out this afternoon to visit the beautiful Tonle Sap, the second largest freshwater lake in the world. This ecologically marvelous lake is the lifeblood of the country and the primary source of fish and protein for most of the Cambodian population. At wet season peak the connecting Mekong River gushes into the lake, reversing its current, and increasing the surface area four-fold to more than 10,000 square kilometers. On your short boat tour you will see a floating fishing village which moves as water levels rise and recede during the year. Pass floating houses, floating schools, and even a floating hospital.
  • On the way return back to town we visit Les Artisans d'Angkor - Chantiers Ecoles, where you could learn traditional carving and finishing techniques. It is famous for its traditional craft skills products are available such stone caving, wood carving, lacquering, gilding and silk processing.

Day 2 : SIEM REAP(B/-/-)

  • This morning make a journey to the south gate of Angkor Thom city, in the eleventh century Angkor Thom was populated by more than one million people, yet at the same time it is estimated that London had a population of only 35,000 people. We marvel at the eerie stone heads and evocative bas-reliefs of the Bayon temple, the central structure of Angkor Thom. We move on to the Terrace of Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Then continue to visit the jungle-enveloped temple Ta Prohm, one of the most atmospheric of all temples in Angkor, once home to 2,740 monks, Ta Prohm today looks much as it did in the early 1850s, when French explorer Henri Mouhot ‘rediscovered’ this crumbling site.
  • Afternoon continue to visit Angkor Wat. The temples of Angkor represent six hundred years (802-1432) of Khmer civilization - one of Asia’s greatest Kingdoms and Angkor Wat is one of its crowning glories. Soak up the atmosphere of Angkor from the edge of one of the ancient library pools. We then explore the interior of the great temple, spending a thorough discovering the corridors, central chambers and upper terraces of this truly great temple. Your expert local guide will decipher the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings, and give you an insight into life during the height of the Khmer empire. Finally visit Phnom Bakheng, the most popular sunset location in the area, offering a view of the Tonle Sap Lake and a distant Angkor Wat in the jungle.

Day 3 : SIEM REAP (B/-/-)

  • Visit Banteay Srei, constructed at the late 10th century by a Brahmin counselor under a powerking Rajendarvarman. It was loosely translated to citadel of the woman, but it is a modern appellation that probably refers to the delicate beauty of the carvings. En-route stop at Pre Rub (turn the body), was constructed in late 10th century dedicated to Hindu gods. This reflects the common belief among Cambodians that funerals were conducted at the temple.
  • Visit Preah Khan temple, built by King Jayavarman VII dedicated to his father. It is a huge, highly exportable monastic complex, and served as a Buddhist monastery and school, engaging over 1000 monks. Continue to Neak Pean, a small island temple located in the middle of the last Baray, constructed by a Khmer king in the Angkor area.

Day 4 : SIEM REAP-PHNOM PENH (B/-/-)

    • Option1: Transfer to Chong Khneas ferry Prot for take a speed boat to Phnom Penh. Approximately 5-6 hour travelling by boat across Tonle Sap Lake to Phnom Penh. Tonle Sape is the largest freshwater lakes in Asia, swelling to an expansive 12000 km2. During the dry season half of the year the lake shrinks to as small as 2500 km2. Upon arrival in Phnom Penh port you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

 

 

  • Option2: This morning set out on the picturesque drive to Phnom Penh (Appr. 5-6 hrs), following Route 6. You will be passing A small number of 1000-year-old stone bridges still exist off today’s sealed road, Kampong Thom, the major provincial town while some of the town was destroyed during the war years, Kampong Thom is still home to some good examples of colonial architecture Continue to Skuon town where you can stretch your legs and wander in the busy market. Look out for the local delicacy; sautéed spiders. Let afternoon you will pull into Cambodia’s capital and check-in to your hotel.
  • This afternoon visit National Museum, over 5000 objects are on display including Angkorian era status, lingas and other artifacts. Then visit Royal Palace is a royal residence now where His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal families live. it is like a small town of royal dynasties. Continue to Silver Pagoda, serves less as a functioning temple than a repository for cultural treasures such as 90 kg golden Buddha encrusted with 2086 diamonds.

Day 5 : PHNOM PENH(B/-/-)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Visit Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21 prison). This former school was used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces. More than 17,000 people held at S-21 were taken to the extermination camp at Choeng Ek to be executed. Then drive to “Killing Fields” of Choeng Ek (15 km south of Phnom Penh). Between 1975 and 1978 about 17,000 men, women, children and infants (including nine westerners) were detained and tortured at the S-21 prison and transported to extermination camp of Choeng Ek.
  • Visit Russian Market (Toul Tumpong Market), the Market has gained reputation for cheap clothing, a large selection of Buddha images and woodcarvings, betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewelry, and classic music instrument. Then transfer to Phnom Penh International airport for flight to the next destination.
  • Finally visit Wat Phnom Temple is one of the most important pagodas in Phnom Penh. Built in 1373 on an artificial hill by the wealthy widow Daun Chi Penh. Enjoy Sunset Cruise on the Tonle Sap and Mekong Rivers in Phnom Penh, it bursts into 4 branches.

Day 6 - 8 : PHNOM PENH - ECO TOURISM SITE (B/-/-)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Departure to Eco Tourism Part is one of the most impressive in Koh Kong region south coast of Cambodia. It is in a spectacular setting in a jungle gorge and consists of powerful rapids falling over a 4 meter high rock wall. During the dry season, the rapids are non-existent, but you can walk across the rock wall and take a swim in the river.
  • Over here you will experience and relaxation on the part of Eco Site, Kayaking down river with or without our experienced local guide, explore the mangrove waterways that reach back into the jungle, team up with some locals and try your hand at fishing for your supper.
  • Excursions to Tatai Waterfall, Koh Kong on the border with Thailand, local markets in nearby villages or discover the customs, natural cures and beliefs of the Cambodians that have lived in the Cardamom mountains and its forests for generations.
  • Or maybe it’s spoil-yourself time for a refreshing swim in the river or just lounge by the restaurant terasse and its amazing view for the sunset.

 

Day 9 : ECO TOURISM SITE - PHNOM PENH - DEPARTURE (B/-/-)

  • You will have free time to relax at resort.
  • Drive back to Phnom Penh or transfer to Phnom Penh Airport for your onward flight.
